Madison Computer Learning Center

The Madison Computer Learning Center's computer refurbishing ministry takes your used PC and MACs computers, cleans, repairs and reformats them to be used again within the community.

It is a great way to get rid of your older be still usable equipment and at the same time help a person, or an organization in need.

You can also rest assured that your equipment will not end up in a landfill.

We accept donations from business and individual are welcomed.

We are currently accepting:

Computers and Laptops:

• Pentium 3 - 450 Mhz or higher
• Pentium 4 - 1.4 Ghz or higher
• Celeron processors 450 mhz and above
• AMD K6 Processors 600 Mhz and above
• Mac , G4 and above
• All computers should include mouse , keyboard, and power cords if available.

We can not accept 386,486, Pentium 1, 2 computers or MAC below the G4 specification.

Computers Peripherals;

• IDE Hard Drives 10 gigabytes or larger.
• CD, CD/RW, DVD, DVD/RW drives
• USB devices / cables.
• Multimedia cards (video, sound)
• Modem s
• Blank media (floppy, CD, DVD etc)

All hard disk are formatted with special software that formats the hard drive to US Department of Defense stan dards

Monitors:

• 15" or 17" CRT monitors.
• Flat screen LCD
• No monochrome (non-VGA)

Printers:

• Working ink jet or laser printers no larger than 18"x18"X12"
• All printers must have the power cords or adapters with them.
• Used ink jet and toner cartridges

Networking:

• Servers with the minimum specifications of the Computers and Laptops above.
• Wireless equipment.
• Cat 5 or Giga-speed cabling.
• Ethernet Switches And Hubs.
• Network routers and bridges not older than 5 years old.
• Network print servers
• KVM switches

We can not accept any Token Ring network equipment.

From time to time we have excess equipment that we resale either locally or though our website. All proceeds go directly into the ministry to help defray the cost or the program. Equipment not eligible for refurbishing will be recycled.
