Fix Broken Uninstalls In WinXP
When you uninstall a program sometimes they make a mess and
do not clean up after themselves. Programs sometimes leave behind code fragments and registry settings that can slow down your computer or prevent other programs to run properly.
Microsoft’s Windows Installer CleanUp utility can clean up the mess these programs leave behind. The program is free from Microsoft support and it can be downloaded from their support website. It will allow you to remove the messy program and allow you to reinstall the program if needed.
The Window Installer CleanUp Utility works with all versions of Windows including Vista.

WinDirStat is a tool you can use to keep track of “who’s on first” on your hard drive. Along with a standard directory listing, it’s also got a “treemap”, a graphical way to represent files with colored rectangles that show relative sizes of files on your system. (It may actually make more sense when you look at it than it does when you hear it described.)
SpeedFan is a hardware monitoring tool, that is able to automatically adjust fan speeds according to your current system temperature. SpeedFan runs as a tray icon, that displays the current system temperature.
If have to use and Word or Excel document that was created in Office 2007 and you have Office 2003 or earlier, you will not be able to read or edit the document without a special program. You can download this program for free from Microsoft. The program converters the document into a format that previous versions can use. The convertor works on Word, Excel, and Power Point programs.
