Add a Excel Chart into a Word Document

You can easily paste your charts from Excel into your Word documents.

  1. Select the chart in Excel that you wish to embed into your Word document.
  2.  Press Ctrl-C to copy the chart on to your computer clip board
  3. Open your Word document.
  4. Place the insertion point in the place you want to place you chart.
    In verison of Word prior to 2007, click Edit on the menu bar and then Paste Sepcial. In Word 2007 display the Home tab of the ribbon, click the down arrow under the Paste tool, and then choose Paste Special. 
  5.  Select the Microsoft Excel Chart Object as the preferred method of pasting. This term may vary depending on the version of Word you are using.
  6. Make sure the Paste Link radio button is selected. 
  7.  Click on OK. Word inserts the linked chart in your document.

How do you delete blank pages in a Word document?

There are probably hidden Returns, Tabs and spaces at the end of your document. To really know what is on the page, turn on the Show/Hide Formatting button. This will show all formatting in the document. There are probably some formatting on the blank page needs to be deleted. Once all the unwanted formatting marks are deleted then blank pages should go away.

In Word 2007 the Show/Hide Formatting button this is in the Home tab, paragraph group and looks like the paragraph sign. In Word 2003, it can be found on the toolbar at the top of the screen. .
